Hajime Rising Punch Types

Hajime Rising punch types: how to switch between jab, hook and uppercut with Z, X and C, and how lock-on and your view aim at the head or body.

Hajime Rising punch types are the three punches the developer lists for this Roblox boxing game: the jab, the hook and the uppercut. The game is in alpha, it is not the manga or anime Hajime no Ippo, and the developer has published no numbers for any punch. This page covers the keys, how aiming works, and what each punch means in real boxing, clearly separated from game facts.

Hajime Rising Punch Types: Jab, Hook And Uppercut

You switch punch type with a key, then throw it with the mouse. Z is jabs, X is hooks and C is uppercuts. Left click uses your left hand and right click uses your right hand. Lock-on is on middle click, and the full key list is on the Hajime Rising controls page.

Damage, speed, range, stamina cost and combo rules are not published for any of the three punches. We will not guess them. If you want to compare them, try each one on a training target or in a match and judge by feel.

Hajime Rising Jab

Press Z to switch to jabs. In real boxing, the jab is a quick, straight punch, usually thrown with the lead hand, used to keep distance and set up other punches. That is general boxing knowledge, not a game stat, so the in-game jab may behave differently.

Hajime Rising Hook

Press X to switch to hooks. In real boxing, a hook is a curving punch that swings in from the side toward the head or body. Again, this is general context only. How the game's hook compares with the other two is not published.

Hajime Rising Uppercut

Press C to switch to uppercuts. In real boxing, an uppercut travels upward, usually from below the opponent's guard. It is general boxing knowledge as well, and no source gives the game's uppercut numbers.

Aiming The Head And Body

Per the developer's description, looking up aims your punch at the head and looking down aims it at the body. Any punch type can go to either target, with either hand. Pair this with middle-click lock-on to keep your opponent in front of you while you adjust your view.

Stances sit on top of all this: T switches between your primary and secondary slot, covered in the Hajime Rising stances guide. Hook and uppercut may also be tied to progression, but no named source confirms that, so we do not claim it.

Hajime Rising Punch Types FAQ

Which punch is best?

No source ranks the Hajime Rising punch types, and the developer has not published damage or speed. Nobody has published a build or a tier list yet, so pick the punch that fits your range and test it in matches.

How do I switch between jab, hook and uppercut?

Press Z for jabs, X for hooks and C for uppercuts, then throw the punch with left or right click. The Hajime Rising beginner guide shows where this fits in your first fights.

How do I hit the head or body?

Look up to aim at the head and look down to aim at the body. This applies to all three punch types.

Do I need a code to unlock punches?

No. The only active promo codes give Reroll Tokens, not punches. The two active ones are on the Hajime Rising codes page, and the Hajime Rising update page tracks changes, including any new punch.
